Making Hans' Pikorua

This was a big piece and I had to do 2/3rds of it where the stone sat, before I had removed enough weight to safely move to a more suitable location to work on it.

It took shape quite quickly, but with any symmetrical design you don't want to rush it - moving too aggressively can require a lot of work to fix if you go too deep or take too much off.

I was very happy with the final result, it had wonderful lines, and flowed well, it had straight lines amongst the curves and the light picks them up beautifully.
