I had to amend the design in places to allow for structural strength, and where parts simply didn’t flow.

I liked the idea of both rounded and flat sides, with both sharp edges and smooth, and I wanted light to pass through if possible – it all created extraordinary shadow.

I struggled with the 3 layers as the 3D impact of the design meant that often two layers became one, but in the end it didn’t matter.
