The Making of Kotahitanga - UNITY

This design was inspired by a bone carving belonging to my brother. For me it was the bringing together of two people, two ideas, two families, or two cultures. The two symbols were stylized fishhooks entwined, adding strength, peace and prosperity to the overall design.

It took some time to reduce the bulk and weight, and allow the design to flow more freely from its chunky stone beginnings.

I was delighted with the interest in the end, and very satisfied that it found a wonderful new home.
