I loved the direction the sharp edges and flowing lines took me - a far cry from the original smooth and rounded edges Richard and I discussed in the original concept.

Richard who requested this sculpture offered some great design input, and I'm very grateful he allowed me to follow my heart with the final outcome.

We wanted the "barb" to overlap the body of the hook - with light passing through the two parts. The result is a strong 3D effect.

I loved the result and it opens up other design ideas for me.
